Agriliv Research Foundation (ARF), formerly known as Ayurvet Research Foundation, is a Public Charitable Trust registered under the Indian Trust Act, 1882. Established in 2005, ARF undertakes and supports scientific research and extension activities in the field of natural and applied sciences, with a focus on creating practical, sustainable and cost-effective solutions for farmers and rural communities.

ARF began its journey with a focus on animal health and soil health, with the objective of promoting sustainable agriculture and livestock-based livelihoods. Over the years, its work has expanded to address critical challenges related to livestock health, sustainable agriculture, food and nutrition, rural livelihoods, entrepreneurship and natural resource management.

 Our 5F Approach

The concept of 5F Security – Food, Feed, Fodder, Fuel and Fertilizer was envisioned by ARF in 2006. The 5F approach promotes the sustainable integration of livestock and agriculture, enabling efficient use of available resources and reducing wastage.

It is based on a circular and integrated farming approach, where the output or by-products from one activity can become valuable inputs for another. This helps improve resource efficiency, reduce production costs, enhance farm productivity and strengthen the overall sustainability and resilience of farming systems. Through research, innovation, field demonstrations, capacity building and community-based interventions, ARF works towards improving livestock and soil health, food safety, farm profitability and rural livelihoods.

Governance
Agriliv Research Foundation (ARF) is committed to maintaining high standards of governance, transparency, accountability and regulatory compliance. The Foundation operates in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Indian legal and regulatory framework, including relevant financial and statutory requirements under Central and State laws.
Audit
ARF follows a structured internal audit and financial control system, complemented by periodic external statutory audits. A systematic MIS and programme monitoring framework enables regular reporting to the CEO and Chairman, providing oversight of programme performance, financial management and organizational operations.
Board of Trustee
ARF is governed by a Board of Trustees comprising four members, headed by the Chairman. The Board provides strategic direction and oversight to ensure that the Foundation's activities remain aligned with its Trust objectives, applicable laws and principles of responsible governance.The Board of Trustees meets at least once a year to review the Foundation's overall functioning, programmes, performance and key organizational matters, and to provide guidance for its continued development.
Organization Structure
ARF operates under the overall guidance and oversight of the Chairman and the Board of Trustees, with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) responsible for leading the organization's day-to-day operations and programme implementation. The Chairman and CEO provide strategic and operational leadership across the organization, including organizational planning, programme strategy, policies, systems, partnerships and implementation. They work closely with the Board of Trustees and the ARF team to ensure effective execution of programmes and alignment with the Foundation's vision, mission and objectives.
